Tillamook Bay Community College’s (TBCC) Nursing Program has received final approval from the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) through 2030, affirming the program’s quality and commitment to preparing highly skilled nurses for the region.
The OSBN approval ensures that the Nursing Program meets state standards for nursing education and confirms that graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN). Since launching the program, TBCC’s nursing students have demonstrated strong outcomes, with a current overall NCLEX pass rate of 92.8%.
“This final approval through 2030 is a testament to the hard work of our Nursing faculty, staff, and students,” said TBCC President Dr. Paul Jarrell. “Our community depends on well-trained healthcare professionals, and we are proud to offer a program that not only meets state standards but exceeds expectations in preparing graduates for success.”
In addition to this milestone, TBCC’s Nursing Program has been named the 2026 Program of the Year at the Chamber of Commerce’s Community Awards, a recognition that highlights excellence, innovation, and deep community impact.
