The Tillamook Bay Community College (TBCC) Foundation is honored to announce a generous, nearly $800,000 gift from the estate of Richard and Virginia White, who shared a deep connection to the Tillamook community.

The estate’s trustee, Richard’s younger sister Donna, said the Whites believed their gift would have the greatest impact at a smaller institution like TBCC. “Richard knew a lot of kids in Tillamook needed scholarships,” she said. “It was important to leave this gift to TBCC, where it could truly make a difference.”

The donation, the largest single gift in the Foundation’s history, will support student scholarships, honoring the Whites’ legacy and their commitment to education and Tillamook.

“We are deeply grateful for the White family’s belief in our mission,” said Britta Lawrence, the Executive Director of the TBCC Foundation. “This incredible gift will open doors for generations of TBCC students.”
